BREAKING: A Message to Fighters in Bafut, Ndian, and All of Southern Cameroons

Recent events, including explosives on public roads, kidnappings for ransom, and harm to civilians, make it necessary to speak with clarity and responsibility. This video is not about tactics, commands, or how to fight. It is about why arms are being carried, what they are meant to protect, and where the line must never be crossed.

This video explains the true legal and historical foundation of Southern Cameroons, beginning from 1954 to 1961, when Southern Cameroons existed as a self-governing UN Trust Territory with its own institutions. It explains the unfinished decolonization process, the absence of any valid union treaty with La République du Cameroun, and why changes inside LRC’s constitution and laws have no legal effect on Southern Cameroons.

It clarifies why the lawyers and teachers protested in 2016 to protect common-law institutions and the education system of Southern Cameroons, not to advance Ambazonia. It also explains how that institutional protest was later hijacked, confusing the legal message and silencing Southern Cameroons before the world.

This video draws a clear distinction between:

Defending civilians and institutions of Southern Cameroons, and

Advancing Ambazonia as a political project based on the assumption of a failed union that has never been proven with a treaty.

It addresses the 2025 elections, why rejecting LRC elections in Southern Cameroons was legally correct, and how encouraging participation in those elections undermined the claim that Southern Cameroons is not legally part of LRC. It explains how voting sends the wrong signal internationally and works, knowingly or unknowingly, in the interest of LRC.

This message commends those who have shown discipline, protected civilians, and defended communities responsibly. It also names actions that must stop immediately, including:

road explosives

kidnappings and ransom-taking

harm to civilians

intimidation, looting, and indiscipline

Clear rules of engagement are outlined, emphasizing civilian protection, restraint, personal responsibility, and withdrawal when civilians are at risk.

The video also explains what happens when limits are broken, using historical precedent to show how individuals, not movements, are later held accountable — even years after conflicts end.

Finally, it lays out the next 2–5 year path:

legal clarification through the United Nations

restoration of institutional legitimacy

civilian leadership

and a temporary, transitional role for armed protection that must end once the legal question is resolved.

The central message is simple and firm:

Weapons do not create legitimacy. Institutions do.
If you are protecting civilians and the institutions of Southern Cameroons with discipline, that purpose is understood.
If you are advancing Ambazonia or harming civilians, then we are not on the same path.
