I have recorded New Orleans before on two of my early albums, but after many years of studying and teaching the piece with my students, I felt it was time for a fresh interpretation—one that reflects both my personal growth and deeper understanding of the music.

In this version, you can follow the score as you listen. I’ve aimed to stay faithful to Bozza’s markings and intentions, and I hope this performance offers insight into the piece’s unique character.

I’m joined by my Argentine friend pianist Norberto Vogel, who accompanies me in this rendition. He will also be releasing a play-along version of the piano accompaniment, so if you’re working on this piece yourself, you’ll soon have a great resource to practice with.
