India has one of the largest youth populations in the world, yet the voice of the youth often remains the weakest in decision-making. Governments expect support and votes from us and we give them. But despite being the biggest stakeholders in the future, youth remains a side note in policies and planning.

Earlier generations wanted basic access — to education, technology, and opportunities.
Today, the youth already has access, so their dream is to create change.
There was a time when owning a phone itself was a big achievement. Today, young people use that same phone to start businesses and earn money.

Earlier, reaching a place or achieving something was the main goal. Now, the youth asks a different question: Can this be done faster, smarter, and in a better way? Old visions weren’t wrong. But a system built for yesterday cannot fully understand tomorrow. Tradition tells us where we came from, but the youth decides where we’re going.

India is “growing” — but this is still far below our real potential. With our talent, budget, and resources, real change in jobs, infrastructure, and opportunity is possible if priorities are right. Instead, we often debate what doesn’t touch daily reality, while real issues wait.

We claim to be one of the largest economies, yet when something world-class is built, we say, “Yeh India jaisa lagta hi nahi.”
That lack of expectation is dangerous. It’s also why so many young minds dream of settling abroad and the nation silently loses those who could redefine its direction.

History teaches us one thing clearly: systems must evolve with every generation.

This is not against any government, ideology, or individual. This is a sincere appeal to listen to the youth. No matter which government is in power or which country it is, this is important for everyone because a nation that does not listen to its youth at the right time will one day hear them speaking very loudly.
