On a quiet evening in Jerusalem, David remained in the royal palace while the army was at war. From the roof of the palace he saw Bathsheba, and that single moment of desire led to a chain of decisions that would end in the death of a loyal soldier, Uriah the Hittite.

The music follows the emotional flow of the chapter in three movements:
the quiet night of temptation, the growing tension of hidden sin, and the tragic silence that follows the death of Uriah.

Performed as a cello, piano, and oboe trio, the music seeks to reflect the inner conflict, the weight of guilt, and the quiet but powerful judgment of God that closes the chapter.
