This video covers a real question asked in the British Army Selection – Intake 2025/26, based on Coordinate Geometry (Rectangular Coordinate System).
Question from British Army Selection (2025/26):
The coordinates of
A (−23, −16),
B (27, 35) and
C (25, 33).
If all coordinates move 54 units to the right along the x-axis and 44 units upward along the y-axis, find the new coordinate of A.
Solution Explanation:
👉When a point moves:
👉Right → add value to x-coordinate
👉Upward → add value to y-coordinate
So,
A′ = (−23 + 54 , −16 + 44)
A′ = (31 , 28)
