The historic blizzard 2026 has already set all-time snowfall records for several locales across the Northeast, after finally pulling away from the New England coast early Tuesday. Hundreds of thousands are still without power; more than 600,000 customers were in the dark at the storm's peak intensity Monday morning after it had "bombed out" offshore, driving hurricane-force wind gusts along the coastline.
