In a chilling development in the South Delhi murder case, Delhi Police have revealed the remorseless nature of the accused, 19-year-old Rahul Meena. The former domestic help allegedly raped and murdered the 22-year-old daughter of a senior IRS officer in their Kailash Hills residence. Investigators disclosed that after strangling the victim with a mobile phone charging cable, “the accused raped the victim while she was still unconscious” before fleeing the scene with stolen valuables.

During police interrogation, the suspect reportedly showed no signs of guilt, coldly stating “it just happened” when confronted with the details of the brutal assault. Meena had gained access to the highly secure home by exploiting his knowledge of the family's routine, using a hidden smart card to enter while the parents were at the gym. He spent approximately 40 minutes inside the house, even changing into the victim's brother's trousers to conceal bloodstains before escaping.

Delhi Police apprehended Meena from an OYO hotel in Dwarka and are currently preparing a robust legal case. Authorities emphasized that they have gathered very strong evidence to ensure the accused receives the “severest possible punishment” for the heinous crime. This tragic incident has raised significant concerns regarding the vetting of domestic staff and the security of residential colonies in the national capital.
