On 11th October, Bangalore came together at Apollo Hospitals, Bannerghatta Road, for the 3rd edition of the Apollo Saree Run 2025 - a vibrant celebration of womanhood, resilience and the fight against breast cancer.
From doctors to survivors, families to friends, 1,000+ participants and over 100 breast cancer winners ran as one. Draped in sarees yet driven by purpose, every step symbolized strength, every smile echoed hope.
Flagged off by Sowmya Reddy, Former MLA of Jayanagar and President, Karnataka State Mahila Congress, the event went beyond a 3.5 km run. From a 100-day fitness challenge to the iconic saree run, one message rang loud and clear - early detection saves lives.
As Dr. Jayanti Thumsi said,
“Life after cancer is vibrant, purposeful and full of hope.”
This wasn’t just a run.
It was a movement.
Because when women come together, even miles turn into movements.
