Hidden deep in the forests of southeastern Poland, Camp Jomsborg serves as a sanctuary for Ukrainian soldiers determined to return to the front with new skills. Built by the Norwegian Army and with international support from seven other NATO allies, the camp embodies the spirit of Operation Legion.
Named after a mythical Viking fortress, Jomsborg offers a safe haven for trainees to prepare, focusing on practical tactics essential to the modern battlefield. Footage from the field demonstrates the intensity of the training, from mastering complex trench-clearing maneuvers to rigorous machine-gun practice sessions. Norwegian and Estonian trainers work hand-in-hand, ensuring every Ukrainian soldier is fully prepared before their short journey back into combat. The camp is currently being expanded to accommodate more troops, reinforcing the international commitment to supporting Ukraine's defense efforts.
