The E257 Series is a type of rolling stock operated by JR East on a number of limited express services. The 2000 sub-variant is currently deployed on the popular and longest-running limited express Odoriko services to Izukyu-Shimoda and Shuzenji, replacing the previous 185 series.
The even more popular Saphir Odoriko is a luxury variant of this limited express, operated by E261 series, and is usually sold out several months in advance.
