MOONG SOUP (MOONG NO PANI)
Ingredients
2 cups boiled green gram (moong)
Salt to taste
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 tablespoon ghee
1 teaspoon cumin seeds
¼ teaspoon asafoetida
1 teaspoon chopped fresh coriander leaves
Lemon wedge for garnishing
Method
1. Take the green gram in a bowl, add 1 cup water and blend well with a hand blender. Strain the liquid into a deep non-stick pan.
2. Add sufficient water if required and bring to a boil.
3. Add salt and mix well and bring to a boil. Add lemon juice and mix well.
4. Heat ghee in a non-stick pan. Add cumin seeds and asafoetida and sauté for a minute.
5. Add the tempering to the soup and mix well. Add chopped coriander and mix well.
6. Garnish with lemon wedge and serve hot.
