MY REVIEW:
First and foremost, keep in mind that this is an entry level turntable and my following comments are based on what is expected of an inexpensive table. In this context, the Denon DP-300F is perfectly placed to defeat its price range competitors.
First impressions:
The packaging is solid and secure; the accessories are located in the foam held with a bit of tape. At first sight, the turntable itself looks nice and classy and the feel is much better than expected.
Build quality:
At this price you would expect a light plastic TT, well...it's not the case. The housing and the buttons are made of reasonably sturdy plastic; the platter, counterweight and tonearm are made of metal. The overall feel at this stage is incredibly good in the context of a beginner turntable.
Features:
It can be functioned automatically or manually.
Denon may claim that the provided cartridge is a 'high end MM cartridge', but I don't think so. The DP-300 deserves a better cartridge. My choice is my 'good & old' Denon DL110; the table can handle it and the sound quality is much better with it. The effective mass of the tonearm is 13,5g so you might as well install a AT-VM95EN with excellent results:

If you replace the stock cartridge, the alignment is easy and straightforward with the help of the removable headshell. If I'm not mistaken it matches the Lofgren geometry. Anyway: not a trace of distortion whatsoever.
Although this table features a preamp, I paired it with my ARC LP1SE straight away. Anyway, the built-in phono preamp may be a temporary option for those who don't own a dedicated phono stage or are expecting to get one.
Speed:
It runs fast out of the box, but the speed can be fine-tuned from 2 screws (for 33 and 45 rpm) located under the plinth. I managed to make it spin at 33,3 rpm very easily and the speed stability is incredible. Wow & flutter measurements are amazing, approaching the performance of my most expensive turntables...
Sound quality:
Again, better than I thought. I've owned several turntables of this category and the Denon DP-300F is above average. 'Audiophiles' won't be impressed with its sound, of course. It can't compete with my modified Technics SL1200 or my Regas, but that would not be a fair battle. This Denon is the first step on the ladder, and it offers sound and features that are good enough to satisfy those who want to go back to vinyl without complications, and it's the perfect 'no-brainer' for beginners.
PROS:
-Easy setup/beginner friendly
-Decent sound quality for the price
-Speed adjustment
-Built-in phono preamp
-Automatic
-Removable headshell
-Build quality
CONS:
-Unremovable RCA cable
-It deserves a better cartridge
-'Audiophiles' won't be impressed
-Runs fast out of the box
