Mid-august 2024, Alexa and I went on our first canoe camping trip together in Algonquin Provincial Park. Unwind with us as we venture out on a peaceful 4-day summer backcountry canoe camping trip!
We put in at Smoke Lake and made our way on to Ragged to Parkside Bay, where we camped for 3 nights alone in the backcountry - we had such an awesome time exploring nature, setting up our campsite, cooking classic yet delicious campfire meals, and reconnecting with nature. We were blessed with amazing sunny, hot weather that reached 32 degrees, perfect for swimming and lounging by the glistening lake.
Since neither of us are experts, we went with a very calm and beginner-friendly trip but we still learned quite a lot of dos and donts from this trip that will equip us for the next one hehehe
