Our quartz Auto Set Motors adjust automatically for daylight savings time. They perform this function without a radio or computer signal.

They will automatically adjust in the Spring and Fall to the correct time. You do not have to do anything. Our Auto-Set movements are a reliable alternative to often troublesome radio controlled, or “atomic” movements.

We have engineered the computer chip with the spring forward and the fall backward dates of daylight saving time into the electronics. In the Fall the motor will stop for an hour and in the Spring it will “fast forward” one hour.

This forward process takes about 6 minutes. We offer two versions. Our U.S. Auto-Set works anywhere in the continental United States, and our Exclusive World version works in all 26 time zones around the world. Use it anywhere because no radio signal is needed!

Even better, our Auto-Set Daylight Saving Motors are high torque motors, capable of operating clock hands up to 18”. Therefore, you can build that large wall clock and not have to get on a ladder to change the time on a large clock mounted high on a wall.

The common American “I” shaft is used on these movements for installing the clock hands. This design is popular here in the U.S. but not world-wide. The “I” shaft system uses a small nut to hold the minute hand in place. It’s more secure.

The USA and World models have the American “I” shaft and include a FREE choice of 45 pairs of hour and minute hands under 5”. Larger hands are considered optional and are available for a reasonable charge.
