On our final day in Sri Lanka, we explored the vibrant streets of Wellawatta, a place close to the hearts of many Tamils. Known for its rich culture and traditional values, Wellawatta is the perfect spot for a local shopping hunt.
We were on a mission to find my son’s favourite sweet – Black Dodhal (Kalu Dodhal) – and we didn’t leave empty-handed! We ended up buying 3 kilos of sweets to take back home to the UK. It was a beautiful walk along Galle Road, filled with the sights, sounds, and smells that make this area so unique.
