Loss of full continence control is far more common than most people realise, yet it remains one of the least discussed issues in women’s health.
In this episode, I speak with Dr Mhairi Collie about bladder and bowel control, why continence issues are often normalised or dismissed, and how stigma prevents many women from seeking support. We explore the physical, emotional, and social impact of incontinence, and why health systems still fail to prioritise this area of care.
