Getting A Triumph T100 Roadworthy

Описание: This Triumph T100 came to us originally as a none runner without most of the parts required to make it road legal. It ended up the bike we almost made again due to so many of the parts required no longer being around or able to work with this machine.

We where simply asked to get it working again and then the owner would do more work to it. This scope changed a little as we worked on the project to the point we’ve got it ready for road usage as well.

The bike had come back from America in recent years and as you can see, it need some serious TLC.

As usual with this type of project wee can a compression check on the engine and everything was ok.

After doing this we drained and flushed fuel tank, cleaned out carburettor and replaced the main fuel line. We found the bike was still struggling to find idle so we worked on this and eventually adjusted carb idle scew to gain it.

We removed the oil lines, removed drained oil tank and put in completely new lines, clips, and fresh oil.

The electrics gave us some fun and games, we set up points, adjusted distributor replaced cap and spark plugs leads and set the timing. We also had to fabricate a battery tray and switch gear mounting plate and then relocated and exchanged the coil, constructed a new wiring loom to accommodate the new ignition switch, added on the front and rear lights also the brake light and horn, added a new switch gear and new grips.
We sent the seat to Rabbit to be recovered and restored.,

Replaced and removed the front wheel and checked the brakes and then we fabricated the front brake cable, and also fabricated the rear brake mounting plate and added the switch and loom for the brake light.

We also fabricated the headlight mounting ears and while looked to fit this we also removed headstock greased up the bearings and then added the headlight and newmounting.

One other job we discovered along the way was a couple of holes in the primary case, so we filled those and adjusted the primary case itself.
