In this video, Solid Angle is defined with few examples. One steradian (sr) is the SI unit for solid angle and it is defined as the solid angle subtended at the center of a sphere by a surface area on the sphere equal to the square of the sphere's radius. This is analogous to how a radian measures plane angles.
