Boudh Tragedy: Family Carries Deceased From Hospital Amid Police Delay

Описание: In a tragic incident in Thakur Meher Pokhari, Karma Padar village, Boudh district, a family had to carry the deceased on their shoulders from the hospital after the police did not arrive on time.

The elderly person had drowned in the village pond and was rescued by family members and admitted to Boudh hospital, where the doctors declared them dead. Despite informing the police for post-mortem procedures, the family waited for hours, and no police arrived. Due to the delay, the family took matters into their own hands, carrying the body themselves.

Meanwhile, reports indicate that the Mahaprayana vehicle, which could have transported the body, could not be used as the deceased had not yet undergone post-mortem.

This incident has raised concerns over emergency response and police delays in rural areas.
