Before we start building the European Hyperloop Center, we want to make sure we do so in the safest, most efficient and cost-effective way possible. To determine this, we built a 36m infrastructure prototype for which we developed building methods together with Mercon.
This prototype was also used to test the degree to which the tube deforms when it is brought down to low pressure and when it has to support the weight of the interior and the vehicle.
