Nice 1968 Ford Galaxie 500 Convertible for sale finished in black with a striking red interior and a black convertible top. We believe this car originated from Nevada and was purchased by its previous owner here in the California wine country. This nice driver-quality classic Ford muscle car includes a cache of records, books, and literature along with a clear, California title.

The exterior presents nicely with newer black paint that is smooth and shiny, good alignments, a blacked-out grill, and a set of nice, bright set of LED headlamps. Most of the trim and lenses look to be original. It has a very nice convertible with excellent fitment and a rebuilt power top motor that goes up and down with ease. It rides on a great-looking set of 18" Ridler 5-spoke wheels wrapped in an older set of 245/45ZR 18's (serviceable but date coded 2013).

The 351 Windsor was rebuilt just 5,000 miles ago and included new pistons, molly rings, main bearings, rod bearings, a high-volume oil pump, true double roller timing set, a high-performance camshaft, and lifters. It is fed by an Edelbrock 4-barrel and starts easily producing around 350 horsepower. The C6 automatic transmission shifts through the gears without issue though typical C6 transmissions are prone to drop into gear while idling in the park position. It sounds great with Sanderson block hugger headers and a newer exhaust system from the motor back with 2.5" piping running to a set of 40 series Flowmasters. It has excellent stopping power with a power disc brake conversion up front including a booster and dual channel master cylinder with drums at the rear. Handling is tight with front and rear sway bars and upper ball joints and control arm bushings that were replaced a couple of years ago. It has a Summit heavy-duty fuel pump, newer alternator, and battery, rebuilt heavy-duty 4-row copper and brass radiator with an overflow tank, MSD electronic ignition, and a new power steering pump.

The red interior complements the black exterior nicely having newer carpet and seating upholstery. All gauges and lights are in working order. It has an aftermarket tach, temperature, oil pressure, and volt gauges. The door panels appear original with minimal wear the windows roll up and down smoothly. The dash has a cover on it and the steering wheel (also covered) could use restoration. Otherwise, it has a nice overall look and is very comfortable.
