Lawyers representing the Government and the family of late President Edgar Lungu are engaging in discussions to try and resolve matters between the two parties.
This came to light during the hearing of the application for leave to appeal the judgment that ordered the repatriation of the body of 6th President Edgar Lungu to Zambia.
The Pretoria High Court in South Africa has since adjourned to Monday, August 18, 2025, the hearing of the application for leave to appeal.
The adjournment follows a joint request from lawyers representing the Lungu family, Tembeka Ngcukaitobi of Duma Nokwe Chambers, and Ben Stoop of Brooklyn Advocates, representing the Government.
