Looking at reference images of people with clothes on can be a daunting challenge if you are unfamiliar with drawing folds. You may have tried to replicate the folds seen on an elegant dress or even a favorite Anime character but for some reason, it just never comes outright. When it comes to drawings folds their are actually 7 types of fold structures we see as illustrators and artists that can help us to more accurately dress our characters and even show more action and movement. Learning these folds can help simplify even the most complex references as well as help you draw more believable clothes/folds from your imagination.
In today's video, we will be looking at Spiral Folds.
