Both teams arrive in the regional final in dramatic fashion after buzzer-beater victories in the semifinals. Grayson County advanced with a thrilling last-second three to defeat defending champion Daviess County, while Meade County punched its ticket to the title game with a buzzer-beating win over Apollo.
The Cougars are seeking their first 3rd Region championship since 2009, while the Green Wave are looking for their first regional title since 2017. The winner will advance to the KHSAA Sweet 16 at Rupp Arena in Lexington.
These two programs did not meet during the regular season, but they faced off in last year’s 3rd Region semifinals, with Grayson County winning 62-49.
A trip to Rupp Arena and the Kentucky Sweet 16 state tournament is on the line as two hot teams collide for the 3rd Region crown.
