Описание: हर हर महादेव! इस विशेष दर्शन यात्रा में हम आपको उत्तर प्रदेश के लखीमपुर के समीप स्थित ओयल कस्बे के अद्भुत और रहस्यमयी मेंढक मंदिर के दर्शन कराते हैं। यह मंदिर पूरे भारत में अपने आप में अनोखा है, क्योंकि यहाँ भगवान शिव के साथ एक विशाल मेंढक की भी विधिवत पूजा की जाती है। यह तांत्रिक महत्व वाला प्राचीन मंदिर माना जाता है, जहाँ भक्तों की गहरी आस्था है कि सच्चे मन से माँगी गई हर मनोकामना पूर्ण होती है।

इतिहास के पन्नों में झाँकें तो यह क्षेत्र 11वीं से 19वीं शताब्दी तक चाहमान शासकों के अधीन रहा। वर्ष 1755 ईस्वी में चाहमान वंश के राजा बख्श सिंह ने इस मंदिर का निर्माण करवाया था। उस समय ओयल शैव संप्रदाय का प्रमुख केंद्र हुआ करता था। मान्यता है कि यह मंदिर सूखा और बाढ़ जैसी प्राकृतिक आपदाओं से रक्षा के लिए बनवाया गया था।

किवदंतियों के अनुसार, गुसाई सेना से युद्ध में प्राप्त धन से इस मंदिर का निर्माण हुआ, क्योंकि ब्राह्मणों का धन राजकोष में नहीं रखा जा सकता था। आज भी विशेष अवसरों पर साधु-संत यहाँ तांत्रिक साधना करते हैं, जिससे इस मंदिर का रहस्य और भी गहरा हो जाता है।

In this episode, we take you to one of the most mysterious and unique temples of India — the Oel Frog Temple, located near Lakhimpur Kheri in Uttar Pradesh. This ancient and tantric temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva, where along with the Shivling, a massive frog idol is worshipped — something rarely seen anywhere else in the country.

The temple holds immense spiritual and tantric significance. Devotees firmly believe that prayers offered here are fulfilled, and during special occasions, saints and ascetics perform deep tantric sadhana at this sacred site. Historically, the Oel region was under the rule of the Chahaman dynasty from the 11th to the 19th century. The temple was constructed in 1755 AD by King Baksh Singh, a devoted follower of Lord Shiva.

According to legends, the temple was built using wealth acquired after a battle with the Gusai army, as Brahmin wealth could not be stored in the royal treasury. Another belief suggests that the temple was constructed to protect the region from droughts and floods. This temple is not just a place of worship but a powerful symbol of faith, mystery, and ancient wisdom.
