Barley & Moong Dal Dosa Recipe*
*Ingredients*
Barley (Pearl Barley) – 1 cup
Moong Dal (Split Green Gram) – ½ cup
Water – as needed
Salt – to taste
Oil – for making dosa
“Today I’m making a **healthy Barley and Moong Dal Dosa**.
No urad dal, no soda, no eno — yet the dosa is soft and crispy.
Let’s see the full process.”
*Soaking*
“First, wash barley and moong dal well.
Soak them together in enough water for **6 to 8 hours**.
Barley is hard, so proper soaking is very important.”
*Grinding*
“After soaking, drain the water and grind to a **smooth batter**.
Add water little by little while grinding.
The batter should be of **pouring consistency**.”
*Fermentation*
“Transfer the batter to a bowl, cover it, and keep it in a warm place for **8 to 10 hours**.
Barley ferments slowly, so don’t expect too many bubbles.
A mild sour smell means the batter is ready.”
“Add salt to the fermented batter and mix gently.
Heat a tawa and pour a ladle of batter.
Spread it evenly and cook on medium heat until golden and crisp.”
“This *Barley and Moong Dal Dosa* is healthy, light, and easy to digest.
