We start at the very beginning with the intro. On the recording this part is full of barre chords and is one of the trickier things you can play on acoustic guitar. However, I've simplified it and come up with an easy way to play these barre chords so that almost anybody could do it.

We use one shape (the 2-note power chord) and move it around the fretboard and that's it! I also take the time to show you how the recording goes(using the barre chords) so that's an option as well.

From here on out, it's just chords and strumming. The verse has a couple more barre chords but once again, I have some easy shapes that you can play instead that sound just as good. The easy way to play G minor (Gm) is one of my favorites. We play through the verse using downstrokes only in an easy slow way. And then we take a look at the strumming pattern.

This song uses the most common strumming pattern ever. It's quite straight-forward. I go over it in this video here:    • This Strumming Pattern Works on Almost ANY...  

We still take the time to break it down, count it out, and then we add it to the chord progression from our verse and play that together.

This song has a second verse which is slightly different than the first one (just one chord different). We take a look at that, play it together, and then we move on, and learn the bridge.

The bridge to this song is incredibly beautiful. It starts off with a very colorful chord that you might recognize from Chicago's "If You Leave Me Now" - you know... the "ooooh baby please don't go" song. A really wonderful voicing! We take a look at all the chords needed, we play them with downstrokes only so we can get used to the counting, learn to keep track of where we are within the song, and then we add the strumming pattern to that chord progression and play through that as well.

Finally, we take a look at the ending, which is just a bit of the verse, repeated over and over again, nothing new here, we just need to work out the order.
