Upon receiving your custom orthotics, many people are not shown how to insert them into your shoe. We are going to show you how to properly install your custom orthotics in your shoes and let you know what to expect when wearing your new orthotics.
If the stock insole comes out of your shoe such as in most athletic or running shoes, take it out and place the opposite one back to back with your orthotic. For example, place the left shoe insole back to back with your right orthotic. Trace the outline of the stock shoe insole on your orthotic and trim the topcover so it is the same size as the stock insole. Don’t trim the hard polypropylene of your orthotic.
To insert your orthotic in your shoe, fold the orthotic in half at the end of the topcover and place it in your shoe. slide it backwards so the back of the orthotic is against the heel of your shoe. Support the orthotic while using your fingers to walk then the topcover down evenly towards the front of your shoe. Feel the toebox of your shoe and make sure that your orthotic is laying flat with no folds or wrinkles.
If your shoes don’t have a factory insole or it won’t come out ,such as in some casual or dress shoes, you will have to use the try and retry method. Insert them in your shoe as we demonstrated and feel for the areas that need to be trimmed.
