Check out the highlights from the 2019 Prime Minister's Pacific Youth Awards held at NZ Parliament on Tuesday 27th August.
Congratulations to Okirano Tilaia who received the Leadership and Inspiration Award from Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern. He received the award for his leadership in organising student-led community events following the March 15 terrorist attack on the Al Noor and Linwood Mosques. Okirano, 17, is Samoan and lives in Christchurch where he is Head Boy at Cashmere High School.
The Leadership and Inspiration Award is sponsored by Air New Zealand and supported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade.
