At Pulippara near Kallara in Karode, Thiruvananthapuram district, Vava Suresh was called for yet another rescue mission. A large snake was spotted in the front room of a house, and the house owner alerted the locals, who quickly gathered. Vava advised the owner to keep the room door shut until he arrived.

The place had a beautiful rural atmosphere. Once there, Vava began his search. First, he spotted a large squirrel, and a little farther away, an enormous, aged rat snake. The sight left the family and onlookers stunned — a giant rat snake attempting to swallow an equally large squirrel.
