Today is the day! The motorcycle is packed and ready for transport and I got to get ready myself to go to the airport. Short night and right back at it in the morning. Last packing for both myself and the motorbike. Alp is ready to be shipped by airfreight and is going to be picked up later in the day. Take care of the last documentation with the transport company and I'm off to Christchurch airport. There I take the first flight which goes to Auckland. Take off in the rain, land in sunshine. While waiting for the flight to Santiago in Chile, South America, I reflect a bit on the past few days. Before boarding the airplane I get surprise goodbye visit from a couple of familiar faces from Central Otago. This is it, the last day in New Zealand. It has been swell. Now it is time go get on that airplane and fly towards the madness that is South America. Thank you New Zealand for the hospitality, thank you great Kiwi people. Auckland to Santiago, 12 hours.
