Hello everyone. In this video, I will explain one way to tell if your ESC is broken. For this, you are going to need a multimeter. First, unplug all power to the ESC and FC. Second, set the multimeter to the continuity function. It is the one with the volume symbol. Then you are going to place one probe tip on the power entrance pad and the other one on one of your engine pads. Then, you are going to test the connectivity of each engine pad to the input power pad. If you hear a beep, then there is a short which indicates a problem because there should not be a short between power and motor pad when your power is off. Keep in mind that different types of damage can impact the system in different ways. So my example is just one way that an ESC could be broken. However this method is universal for checking if there are any shorts in key circuits of your ESC. The picture on screen shows a component that was broken for mine. The damaged part is within the red rectangle. If we zoom in to the area defined by the red rectangle, we see this: The damaged part is indicated by the red arrow. The part should look just like the ones above or below, as shown by a green arrow. The nature of damage is unclear; it could either be a drop of solder or it could be damage caused by an overheating component, or another cause altogether.
@JoshuaBardwell thank you for general guidance
