Hi folks, in this before and after video, we improve how we manage our magnetic labels. Usually, we would keep these all in a stack, and the workers would need to waste time riffling through the stack and pulling the labels apart to find the one they needed. One of our workers came up with the idea to use some scrap material and make a mounted backing for the labels. This keeps things visual and reduces the excess waiting and motion caused by searching through the pile of labels.
What is LEAN about? It's a continuous improvement mindset that aims for excellence by simplifying processes, eliminating waste, and removing non-value-added activity.
