Today we’re going to be hearing the epic love story of Laodice and Antiochos… Well to be honest it’s not that epic. But it does involve a couple of assassinations and a poisoning, so that’s something right?
Essentially this story is another continuation in the Diadochoi saga, focusing on the strife between the Ptolemy Dynasty and the Seleucid Empire and how these two kingdoms tried to come to some sort of an agreement. As is usually with ancient peace treaties, this treaty involved Ptolemy’s daughter Berenice.
And thus we have the beginning of an ancient love triangle.
