All school kids from Year 2 to Year 11 return to school today after one week on from New South Wales hitting the 80 per cent vaccination milestone and a few months of learning from home.
There are COVID safe plans put in place with masks required for high schoolers and teachers, while for those in Year 3 to Year 6 it is highly recommended by NSW Health.
The latest figures for vaccination rates within 12 to 15-year-olds show 48.8 per cent have been fully vaccinated and 78.6 per cent have had their first dose of a COVID-19 vaccine.
The teachers who are not vaccinated have been assigned other tasks on school grounds.
