PAMIS Moving and Handling Awareness Sessions - Self Management Week 2025

Описание: Get ready for Self Management Week 2025! PAMIS is pleased to announce the success of the delivery of their first in-person Moving and Handling Awareness session. The session has been developed with valuable insights from family carers across Scotland and the aim of the sessions is to empower family carers with knowledge that supports their health while they care for their loved ones with PMLD.

This short video highlights the voices of participants from the first in-person session held in Glasgow at the end of August, and provides a snippet of what you can expect at future sessions.

During Self Management Week 2025, you can join Carolynne Hunter, the PAMIS Project Lead, for an engaging online information and discussion session on Zoom on Tuesday 23rd September from 10:00am-12:30pm. This interactive session will focus on the upcoming PAMIS Moving and Handling Awareness sessions which will take place across Scotland and which are designed for family carers. Self Management Week, the ALLIANCE's annual Self Management Celebration, is a national awareness raising initiative highlighting self management activity across Scotland. Self management refers to a way of living and working that means people living with long term conditions feel more in control of their health and wellbeing. The Self Management Programme has long been an area of partnership working between the ALLIANCE and the Scottish Government, most notably via the Self Management Fund which the ALLIANCE administers on behalf of the Scottish Government.
