A Bachmann DCC Sound Class 55 Deltic Diesel D9017 Durham Light Infantry.
This loco is fitted with an ESU Loksound v3.5 and standard 20mm x 40mm 100 ohm speaker.
This model was not produced with sound, but was "sound prepared".
The printed circuit board of this loco was factory fitted with speaker output terminals SP1- SP1+.
You can solder a 100 ohm speaker to these terminals (wires will go either way) for your Loksound 3.5 decoder. The decoder chip here originally came from the first Bachmann Sound Deltic "St Paddy"
The Hornby Railroad St Paddy (ex-Lima tooling) is shown idle in the station for comparison.
