Collaboration among scientists with different backgrounds and expertise is essential for strong science investigations. It allows for scientists to answer questions that have complicated components and multifaceted implications. In this video, we explore how a diverse group of scientists on board the Research Vessel Knorr work together during a 5-week oceanographic cruise in the North Atlantic Ocean to understand how the interaction between phytoplankton and viruses across temporal and spatial scales impact Earth’s carbon cycle.
