STORY
After two huge success films ‘Vilaiyaatu Pasange’ and ‘Vetti Pasanga’, Veedu Production brings us the final sequel of the ‘Pasanga’ trilogy, ‘Vedigundu Pasangge - The Rowdy Folks’, written and directed by Ts. Dr. Vimala Perumal and produced by Denes Kumar.

‘Vedigundu Pasangge – The Rowdy Folks’ – An action comedy film that revolves around a village boy named Theva that falls into a critical situation and realizes that everything around him isn’t what it seems like. Theva is a young vibrant lad performing in an Urumee group run by Mama, together with his best buddy’s Cocojelly and Jing Cha. He falls in love with his childhood friend Vithya and often uses excuses to visit her in the city where she works. Theva’s father, Asirvatham is not happy with Theva going to the city following Boss, a guy that is the talk of the town because of his sudden riches. However, Theva never believes the rumors told about Boss that he maybe doing something illegal in the city and continues to follow Boss just to meet up with the love of his life. In the city, police officers Inspector Ram together with his allies Coperal Rajan and Coperal Sheila are investigating on many cases of snatch theft and robbery that is increasing among the Indian community in the country. Theva’s innocence in not knowing the ugly truth about Boss took a turn for the worst when one day Boss used him as bait for his wrong doings. Boss’s partner in crime takes a vacation leave and he was desperate for money to get his pregnant wife admitted immediately. Theva on the other hand, was upset because he couldn’t make up to Vithya for not being able to meet her on her birthday as he promised because of certain incident that occurred that same day. But after much convincing from Mama, Theva agrees to follow Boss and meet her. As they were on their way to meet Vithya, Boss’s eyes caught a passerby wearing a gold necklace and as Theva approached nearer to the passerby, Boss snatches the necklace and it happens to be Vithya. The impact caused Vithya to take a terrible fall and end up with multiple injuries. Theva in shock runs to help her but everyone pinned him down and beat him up. Boss runs away leaving Theva behind afraid of getting caught too. In jail, clueless of what happened around him, Theva couldn’t face his father who is very disappointed with his immature acts. Boss came to know of his wife’s death and the loss of his child and realizes how his misdeeds has caused him misfortune. Police finally traced him down to an apartment and he confessed that Theva has nothing to do with the incident. Later, Theva finds out the truth about what happened and he is released from the charges. Theva learns a big lesson in his life that always choose your friends wisely.

Vedigundu Pasangge created history by becoming the first and highest-grossing Tamil language movie in Malaysia after crossing RM 1.3 million. This movie won many awards nationally and internationally.
