*New Crossing Beacons Active* Iron Point Rd. Railroad Crossing, Station Train Turn Around, Folsom CA

First Day crossing activation beacons at the Iron Point Rd and Natoma Station Dr and the new wayside aspect system went active surrounding the Iron Point Station on the Gold Line now. However, Natoma Station Dr even active currently, wont be used till the reopening of that section of the Gold Line on July 1 after double tracking at Glenn is done. There will be 3 priority crossings I'lll be filming after construction and the line reopens to Historic Folsom in July which will be Glenn Dr, Parkshore Dr, and Natoma Station Dr as those 3 crossing will have changes since I last filmed them when the project is complete.

The new wayside system works as I expected to get Iron Point Station to act as a last stop and have more controlled activations of both crossings reaction to trains inside the station with the new wayside system and signals as Iron Point Rd and Natoma Station Dr crossings when a train is inside the Iron Point Station wont just activate off the train touching a location and instead reacts off a trains route and if the route isn't lined past a crossing it wont activate example Natoma Station Dr in the background views when I turn towards it and even Iron Point Rd as the trains have to pull up to the ramps a little past it to get the crossing to go into preemption mode first then activate. TBH, the preemption makes activation slow leaving the station as you see how long a train has to wait till the crossing activates but tahts the point of the activation beacons (dwarf motorman signals) anyway to let the train know a crossing is activated and clear to run through. Also, it seems as if the crossing gates raise slightly earlier than they use to after train passes through.

The crossing beacons work a little different than the others SACRT has or others I've seen, they deactivate as soon as a train has passed the crossing beacon instead of deactivating when the crossing deactivates or gates rise. I wish SACRT used more of these at there crossings. 7 crossings together on the system has these.
