What is Credit Linked Subsidy Scheme announced by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharama?


Credit Linked Subsidy Scheme for middle income group under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana – Urban


Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban) Mission launched on 25th June 2015 which intends to provide housing for all in urban areas by year 2022.
Nirmala Sitharaman announces good news for home buyers.
Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has announced that the Credit Linked Subsidy Scheme for affordable housing should be extended from March 31 , 2020 to March 31, 2021. While announcing the extension of the Credit Linked Subsidy Scheme, Sitharaman said it would benefit the middle-class lowest spectrum group with an annual income from Rs 6 lakh to Rs 18 lakh. The Government of India must pump Rs 70,000 crore for the extension.



This scheme already benefited almost 3.5 lac families and this extension will benefit more 2.5 lac families.
