(18 Oct 2019) Anti-government protesters in the Lebanese capital of Beirut clashed with police on Friday.
They hurled objects at riot police, including firecrackers, when they tried to disperse them.
At least one of the demonstrators in Beirut was injured and was seen being carried out of the protest site.
Nationwide protests paralysed Lebanon on Friday as demonstrators blocked major roads in a second day of rallies against the government's handling of a severe economic crisis and the entire country's political class.
The protests were the largest since 2015 and could further destabilise a country whose economy is already on the verge of collapse and with one of the highest debt loads in the world.
