1969, MONTEREY CA, LAGUNA SECA, TRANS-AM, practice

Описание: August 24 1969 at the Laguna Seca Race track the SCCA sponsored the fourth running of the Trans-American Championship as the SCCA's Trans-Am Series.
These races would see the 302 cu. in. pony cars and the 122 cu. in touring cars racing side by side on the same track. In the 1960s race fans in America had the Trans Am , Grand National and Can Am series to choose from. A veritable high octane candy shop for race enthusiast nationwide.
This particular race would be won by Mark Donohue driving a Camaro. Ed Leslie also driving Camaro came in 2nd. Dan Gurney came in 3rd with Peter Revson 4th. Both men were driving Shelby Mustangs. George Follmer came in 23rd with a DNF broken wheel and Parnelli Jones driving the Mustang Boss 302 for Bud Moore came in 27th also a DNF due to a failed differential.
