You must have heard the name Khajjiar, often called the Mini Switzerland of India.
But very few people talk about the hidden trekking route that goes through Kalatop Wildlife Sanctuary.

This trek is not just a path — it’s an experience.

As you step into the trail, you find yourself surrounded by dense deodar and pine forests. With every step, the sound of rustling leaves, birds, and the cool mountain breeze slowly pull you away from the noise of everyday life.

Sometimes you hear birds calling,
sometimes just your own footsteps,
and sometimes… complete silence.

The trek is not very long about 13 kms, but it is deeply calming and beautiful. Sunlight filters through the trees, creating natural patterns on the forest floor, making the walk feel magical.

After walking for a while, the forest slowly opens up —
and suddenly, Khajjiar appears.

A vast green meadow with a peaceful lake in the center, surrounded by thick forests and mountains. In that moment, you truly understand why this place is called the Mini Switzerland of India.
