Описание: This is a Transportation TV Special Report: Automated Vehicles in America--Managing the Risks and Rewards. For more than a century America has benefited from the evolution of the automobile. Today, automobile technology is advancing faster than ever and government leaders are working to keep pace. Policies to regulate this new technology are being explored to protect the interests of the public, the private sector and government agencies. A new briefing document titled Strategies to Advance Automated and Connected Vehicles has been created in conjunction with the American Association of state Highway and Transportation Officials, the National Cooperative Highway Research Program and the Transportation Research Board. 18 high-level summaries of policy and planning strategies are included in the briefing document to help transportation agencies assess, leverage and align existing polices to deal with AV and CV technologies---even amid a high level of uncertainty about what the future will bring.
