It doesn't warm my heart

So, I surrender it to God
I give it to him

With marriage, They say life gets in the way
But so often it's us who get in the way
Because we take for granted
What others are praying for

What we once prayed for
We forget what a gift from above we are to one another, James 1:17
We no longer see our blessings
We no longer water our garden
And get surprised when it reflects a desert
I don't ever want that to be us

But Even if you are my other half
Even if we are one
Even if we have a covenant
I still got my own life to live
Can't live in your shadow
Can't live on your schedule
Can't live based on your promises
Gotta walk my own walk, with the Lord that is
