The incident, which unfolded on the 24th of August, involved a de Havilland Canada DHC-6 Twin Otter aircraft registered as F-OMYS.

The aircraft, on its final approach from the sea side, touched down on runway 28 but was unable to maintain its course. Instead, it veered to the left, ultimately leaving the paved surface of the runway and entering the adjacent grass area. This course deviation resulted in a collision with a parked helicopter, positioned just short of one of the taxiways.
