1.Phototransistor Characteristics
When the phototransistor receives light while power (+) is applied to its collector and ground (-) is applied to its emitter, a current flows through the circuit.
The amperage of the current that flows through the circuit varies by the amount of light that shines on the phototransistor.
Therefore, the light that shines on the phototransistor has the same function as that of the base current of an ordinary transistor.

In automobiles, phototransistors are used in deceleration sensors, etc.
