What to Expect With Wedding Videography

Videography is one of our package upgrades that includes a video of your ceremony plus a highlight reel of other special moments.Keep in mind that no one wants to sit through two to eight hours of video footage of your special day - not even you. So what can you expect when it comes to videography?

On your wedding day, the videographer will show up - usually 45 minutes before your ceremony - to capture what’s referred to as “B-roll footage.” These are video clips that are added in and serve to add background and context to your final video.

They’ll capture shots of your ceremony location, your guests as they wait for your arrival, the weather that day (was it snowing, sunny?) and even scenes of the City! The videographer works with two cameras to get different angles of your ceremony. Afterward, they’ll stay with you, the couple, for one full hour, usually alongside your photographer (if you have hired one) to film other moments of you together.

Once the videographer has captured enough footage from your wedding day then the real magic begins with the editing process. They’ll carefully blend together important moments of your ceremony and celebration. You can also choose one or two favorite songs to add to your video to give it a more personal touch.The final result is a beautiful love story captured on video that you can enjoy and revisit for years to come.
