If you are looking for a lots of crust blueberry cobbler, this blueberry cobbler recipe might be for you. You can use other fruit, either fresh or frozen. Gail shows how to make this super delicious blueberry cobbler using fresh blueberries, with step-by-step instructions. This blueberry cobbler has such a wonderful flavor, and to us, it tastes better than any cobbler you get at a restaurant, or at least we think so. It has a thick crust and plenty of juices that add to the flavor. You can see the juices and crust as the cobbler is taken out of the oven and served. Serve it hot, right out of the oven with ice cream. You might let it cool for about 5-10 minutes or so. An idea is to bake the cobbler as you are eating your meal, and time it so the cobbler is done when you need it. Gail has had this recipe for at least 35 years. She had a peach tree in the back yard, would gather the peaches, and then make them into this peach cobbler. Mmmm - So delicious!

INGREDIENT LIST and RECIPE
1 1/4 stick butter
2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 1/4 cup sugar
1 1/4 teaspoon baking powder (I add just a tad bit more.)
1/4 teaspoon salt (a little bit heaping)
Almost 1 cup cold milk
about 4 cups fresh fruit (You can use frozen or canned. Adjust the recipe as below.)
1 1/2 cup water (This if is you are using fresh fruit. Combine juice plus water to make 1 1/2 cup.)
3/4 cup sugar
About 1/3 cup lemon juice
DIRECTIONS:
Melt butter in 13" x 9" casserole baking pan. Mix flour, 1 1/4 cup sugar, baking powder, salt, and milk in a bowl and stir till well mixed. Pour over melted butter in pan. Drain and save the juice from the fruit (if using canned ) and place the fruit on top of batter. Combine the water, remaining sugar, juice from the fruit (if using canned), and the lemon juice and pour over the fruit. Bake in preheated 350 degree oven for 45 - 50 minutes or until crust is lightly browned. Ovens vary. Watch your cobbler so it doesn't get over cooked.
